Dr. Pushpendra Singh
(Professor & Head, Human-Centered Design Dept., IIIT-Delhi)
With more than 15 years of profound teaching experience, his primary research interest lies in HCI, Mobile Systems & Applications, and ICT for Development. Mélange is the brainchild of Dr. Pushpendra to contribute to social good through technological intervention.
Through her research in HCI for designing and evaluating the proposed solutions, she addresses the real problems of marginalized communities of developing countries. Her current work focuses on building low-cost and contextualized learning platforms for Community Health Workers of Rural India.
Her work lies at the intersection of Human-centred Computing & healthcare for development and engages with feminist perspectives for designing technologies for women’s advocacy and the marginalised section of Indian society.
Currently investigating & developing technical platforms for Maternal Health & Child Care Education using a combination of techniques of AI, NLP, ML, and Human-Computer Interaction.

Working on technology platforms to impart education in Maternal health & Childcare field using a combination of techniques of AI, NLP, ML, and Human-Computer Interaction.
A Freelance Artist, Illustrator & Graphic Designer, working with Mélange as a Research Assistant for the design/illustration of the following projects: Saksham for Schizophrenia patients with AIIMS, Maternity App, Menstruation App with Sachhi Saheli.
Having worked on Computer Vision tasks in her graduation, her interest lies at the intersection of Women’s Health, Human-Centered Computing & AI. She is currently working in the field of Menstrual Health Management for ICT based intervention and also working towards understanding the design of mobile apps for low-literate users.
A creative bent of mind putting her knack of social media skills into generating an online presence for Mélange Lab as well as designing websites for various projects under the lab.
